Tear Down Steps

  1. Remove the “V-cover” on the fan side front
  2. Tools Required: None (possibly pry too)
  3. Remove 4 screws under V-cover
  4. Tools Required: Philips screwdriver Screenshot
  5. Remove screw cap covers on the front non-fan side
  6. Tools Required: Tape or other adhesive
  7. Remove 4 screws under the covers
  8. Tools Required: Torx T5
  9. Remove Back Cover
  10. Remove Bracket
  11. Tools Required: Torx T8
  12. Remove Leaf Spring from rear
  13. Tools Required: Torx T6 Screenshot
  14. Unplug 3 Connectors (extremely careful on light connector)
  15. Tools Required: Shim Screenshot
  16. Lift the PCB
  17. Clean Off Paste and Thermal Pads
  18. Tools Required: Isopropyl Alcohol
  19. Apply Pads based on the following pictures:
  20. Pic 1 of front
  21. RTX 3090 PCB Backside Screenshot Screenshot
  22. Apply new thermal paste (recommend high quality)
  23. Reassemble
  24. Mine == Profit
